For ten years now, the beauty and richness of the unique landscape of the 100 Hills have been the driving force behind our commitment as Churchfortress e.V. Unfortunately, it has recently become clear that this special landscape is under acute threat.
We now urgently need your help to protect the 100 hills!

The main cause of the destruction of this extraordinary mosaic of small-scale agriculture, species-rich lowland meadows and pastures, steppe, dry and semi-dry grasslands, as well as temporary and permanent open wetland habitats, is the activity of foreign large-scale agribusiness corporations. Grassland conversion and the annually expanding large-scale monocultures – combined with pesticide and fertilizer use – are leading to the loss of this unique wealth of flora and fauna.
Our mission is to protect this exceptional landscape – its rare habitats, plants, and animals – through scientific research, community engagement, and sustainable development. The concrete steps planned for the protection of the 100 Hills can be found on our website.
It is time to move from mere awareness to concrete action for the preservation of the 100 Hills. For this, we need your support. You can accompany us on this path both financially and professionally.
